The
Lutheran church defines itself as "the assembly of believers
among which the Gospel is preached and Holy Sacraments administered
according to the Gospel" (Augsburg Confession, VII)
At
Reformation, we offer Holy Communion at every Sunday worship service,
as well as other times during the church year. In the Lutheran
celebration of the Eucharist, the elements of bread and wine are
given to all communicants. Lutherans affirm the real bodily presence
of Christ "in, with, and under" the elements of bread
and wine at the Lord's Supper. Christ is sacramentally
present for the communicant in the bread and wine because of the
promise he gave at the institution of Holy Communion, when he
said, "This is my body" and "This is my blood"
(Matthew 26:26-28).
The
Reformation Worship and Music Committee is responsible for selecting
the hymns for each service and planning special services such
as the Epiphany candlelight prayer service.
Check
our worship schedule for dates and times of worship service and
special events. Let us welcome you to our church family and the
love of Jesus Christ, freely given to all.
