The Evangelism Committee is responsible for the winning or revival of personal commitments to Christ of the whole congregation. There is a particular emphasis on assimilating new members into the congregation. Recent projects have included:

  • Calling/Visiting team: Pastoral Partners, in conjunction with ChristianService Committee Sarah - Women of the Bible dramatic presentation
  • "Getting Acquainted" luncheons - held quarterly
  • Blessing of the Pets - annual event in October
  • Strawberry Festival - annual event in June
  • Outreach through media advertising in local papers; promotional postcards
  • Jelly Bean Project to promote Reformation Lutheran Church
  • Photo Membership Directory
  • Plant exchange
  • Sponsoring "Women of the Bible" - dramatic presentation of Bible stories
  • Acting as co-shepherds with council members for Shepherding Groups
  • Sponsoring Sunday morning coffee fellowships with council members
  • Assigning sponsors to new church members
  • Media coordination to keep our name in the local print media, TV and radio
  • Small group stimulation i.e. G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith Together) Bible study groups, book discussion group, gourmet dinner club, diet support group, grief support, etc.
